Wi-Fi QR code generator
Guests point their phone camera at the code and join your Wi-Fi without typing the password. Works on iPhone and Android.
Design: colours, logo, margin
Low contrast: dark code on a light background scans most reliably.
Fill in the details to create your QR code
✓ Static code: never expires, no sign-up, no tracking
How to make it
- Enter your network name (SSID) exactly as it appears, including capitals.
- Enter the password and choose the security type (almost always WPA/WPA2/WPA3).
- Download the code, or the printable sign with your network details, and put it where guests can see it.
Frequently asked questions
Does a Wi-Fi QR code work on iPhone?
Yes. Since iOS 11 the Camera app recognises Wi-Fi QR codes and offers to join the network. Android phones do the same in the camera or Wi-Fi settings.
Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?
The password is readable by anyone who scans the code, just like writing it on a card. Use a guest network for visitors, and make a new code if you change the password.
My network name has special characters. Will it work?
Yes. Characters like ; , : and " are escaped automatically as the Wi-Fi QR standard requires.
Will my QR code ever expire?
No. These are static QR codes: your link or details are stored inside the code itself, not behind a redirect we control. They keep working forever, even if this website disappears.
Do I need to sign up or pay?
No sign-up, no trial, no watermark. Download PNG or SVG files and use them for anything, including commercial print.
Do you track scans or store my data?
No. The code is generated in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us. Because there is no redirect, scans go straight to your destination.
Can I change the destination later?
Not with a static code; that is the trade-off for never expiring. If you might change the link, point the code at a page you control (such as your own website) and update that page instead.
